No account required
The current As Lived app opens your journal on your iPhone without sign-in. It does not create a Clerk authentication account or upload your archive to a developer-operated server.
Earlier TestFlight accounts
If you used Sign in with Apple in an earlier beta, upgrading keeps your local memories but does not automatically delete that previous online account. You can stop using Apple sign-in for As Lived in iPhone Settings → Apple Account → Sign in with Apple. To request removal of the earlier beta account, contact the developer through TestFlight → As Lived → Send Beta Feedback. Do not attach private journal content or your backup passphrase.
Delete the local archive
Open Settings → Data controls → Delete local archive. Backups remain under your separate control and are not erased by deleting the local archive. Deleting the app can delete the private archive stored on that iPhone, so create and verify a Files backup first if you want to keep it.
Manage device permissions
Revoke Photos, Camera, Microphone, or Speech Recognition access at any time in iPhone Settings. Text-only memories remain available without those permissions.
Manage billing separately
As Lived is a one-time App Store purchase with no subscription to cancel. Deleting your local archive does not request a refund from Apple. See the purchase details for pricing and Apple purchase support.
